Ocean Casino Resort continues their ongoing mission to give back to the community with a multitude of philanthropic efforts, and this year’s Easter celebration was no exception. Ocean Casino Resort contributed 250 individually wrapped cookies to Recovery Force’s “All Rise” Event held on Saturday, April 3rd.  The custom-made treats by the Ocean Casino Resort Pastry Team were included in all of the children’s bountiful Easter baskets. Additionally, the resort made a monetary donation to the organization for sponsorship of the event, which was held in Brown’s Park in Atlantic City.

Recovery Force is dependent on  and driven by its volunteers. Recovery Force works to prevent substance use and mental health disorders among Atlantic City’s at-risk youth community. The organization works with the community to provide education, support and hope to the children and youth.  In addition to the Recovery Force team, many others from the community contributed their time at Brown’s Park, including volunteers from the Explorers. The Explorers program, created by the Atlantic City Police Department, is designed to to provide information and experiences to young men and women who are interested in a possible law enforcement career.

“All Rise” Event 2021

The “All Rise” Event gave the children in the community the chance to participate in Easter activities led by our favorite pastel-clad hare, The Easter Bunny! They had the opportunity to make personal Easter baskets chock full of treats along a “bunny trail” of stations in Brown’s Park. The kids enjoyed their time playing and interacting with trained volunteers, who educated them on opportunities within the community. During this experience, they received messages of healing that inspire both hope and resilience. The kids left with a gift that enabled them and their families to truly enjoy their own Easter celebration, including Easter outfits, tickets to a recreational venue on Easter Sunday, and a holiday ham with all of the fixings for a complete and festive holiday meal.

Over 150 children attended The All Rise Event and enjoyed a fun-filled and inspiring day, while experiencing a day of positive community unity.
