Plant-Based & Vegetarian Menu Selections Guide

Your Guide to all things Vegan & Vegetarian at Ocean

Everyone knows that eating vegetables is key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, but what about other foods derived from plants such as nuts, seeds, beans and grains? Cue the plant-based diet, or plant forward eating patterns, which focuses on incorporating more (or all) plant-based, natural and whole foods into one’s diet for health and environmental benefits.

It is a diet and lifestyle that has been practiced for centuries and has only been increasing in popularity. Even media mogul Oprah Winfrey has taken the plant-based diet on by storm by initiating the 30-Day Plant Based Challenge, encouraging others to eat at least one plant-based meal per day.

Did you know at Ocean Casino Resort, plant-based, vegan and vegetarian food options are available at almost every dining outlet. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or just experimenting with plant-based eating, we invite you to get a taste of the following dishes.

Panoramic ocean views, Spanish tapas-style food, and plant-based dining options–Amada is truly an experience unlike any other. Followers of the vegan diet can start the night off with a heaping bowl of Spanish Olives, or an Ensalada Verde, a green salad mixed with asparagus, avocado, favas, and green beans. The Verduras section of the menu is friendly to both vegans and vegetarians alike, consisting of items like Zanahorias (carrot and quinoa salad with avocados), Garbanzos con Espinacas (chickpeas with spinach) and Caullini a la Plantxa (sweet stem cauliflower).

Additionally, vegetarians can dive into an entire menu full of cheese options, and a plate of fan favorite Patatas Bravas (spicy potatoes).

American Cut

Ocean’s famous steak house, American Cut, offers delicious sides and plant-based options, beginning with their Carrot Glazed Carrot, Fries and Broccoli Rabe.

For vegetarian options, the filling and refreshing OG 1924 Hotel Caesar, Burrata and Chopped salads do not disappoint.

The District

Quick-service Simply Salads recently unveiled its newest vegan menu item, The Roasted Veggie Wrap. Additionally, all make-your-own salads from Simply Salads can be created vegan or vegetarian, so pile those toppings high!

Dolce Mare

Did you know the Chef at Dolce Mare will create customized vegan plates upon request? Simply let the server know of your dietary needs and the kitchen will do the rest!

The most important meal of the day has its plant-based options, too! Choose from Harper’s famous Daily Smoothie* or a Seasonal Fruit Plate to get a boost of plant-based vitamins in the morning. For vegetarian options, Harper’s Vegetarian Omelet is packed with grilled zucchini, yellow squash, grilled asparagus and marinated heirloom tomatoes. The plates do not stop there–vegetarians can choose from an Egg White Omelet, Poached Pear Waffle, Vanilla Chia Seed Bowl and Steel Cut Oatmeal, as well as a selection of pancakes, waffles and French toast.

*Daily Smoothie changes daily. Be sure to confirm with your server that dairy is absent from smoothie.

Villain & Saint

Like Dolce Mare, rock n’ roll gastropub, Villain & Saint, also prepares customized vegan plates upon request. Ask your server for more details.

Sit around and make memories at Wahlburger’s Ocean location, while also enjoying their Impossible Burger, containing a plant-based 1/4lb patty, smoked cheddar*, lettuce, caramelized onions, housemade chili spiced tomatoes and Paul’s signature wahl sauce.

Additional sides and options include Tater Tots, Crispy Yukon French Fries, Thin Crispy Onion Rings and Sweet Potato Tots. Vegetarians can also enjoy a separate Vegetarian Menu for themselves, including items like the Portobello Sandwich (make it vegan when not asking for cheese!), Mac ‘N Cheese, Alma’s Macaroni Salad, Grilled Cheese, and an array of Frappes and Floats. Just ask your server!
