Ocean's Spring Pie Donation for Local Charities Return to BlogPublished: March 2021 Ocean Casino Resort Makes A Decadent Donation To Local Community Ocean Casino Resort kicked off spring by giving back to its local community. The Atlantic City resort ensured that AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Atlantic City Rescue Mission, The Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City, Covenant House, and The Salvation Army all received a piece of the pie - make that over 300 pies! Ocean Casino Resort has donated a plethora of apple pies to local organizations such as AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, who received pies for their frontline day and night shift workers. Pies were also distributed to Atlantic City Rescue Mission, who regularly accept extra food donations. The dining hall at The Mission is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With 600 meals served daily, having some extra nourishment on hand for residents and citizens in need is always appreciated. Atlantic City's youth are also getting a slice: The Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City has three different local Clubs, in which pies were distributed to the children and their families. Covenant House, which provides shelter and support for youth ages 18-21 that are facing homelessness or human trafficking, received a large donation of pies as well. The organization works with young adults on accessing basic needs like meals and clothing, in addition to providing the teens with resources to services including vocational assistance and transitional housing. The Salvation Army received and helped distribute pies to local families. During the pandemic, The Salvation Army helped provide those in need with clothing, shelter and food.
