Ocean Casino Resort is celebrating our 5th Birthday this summer, and our docket has been full of exhilarating events—including our recent LGBTQ Pride festivities. 

A hub for all things hip, Ocean Casino Resort has hosted two sensational celebrations recently: our March Drag Showcase and our June Pride Drag Show. Featuring national sensations like two-time Miss Paradise Jolina Jasmine, Ocean Casino Resort’s recent drag events showcased the best in LGBTQ talent. 

Complete with signature cocktails and special guest performances from chart-topping artists, our Pride events represented the best of AC nightlife—and we’re just getting started. Let’s relive the magic of Pride and glance ahead at what’s coming soon.

An Unforgettable Drag Showcase

Drag shows have been a staple of Atlantic City club events since the 1970s, when iconic gay bars like Saratoga hosted some of the strip’s most iconic performances. To continue the Boardwalk’s rich tradition of stellar LGBTQ entertainment, Ocean Casino Resort hosted a star-studded drag showcase in March—just a taste of our Pride celebrations to come in June. 

This must-see live performance at Nola’s Bar and Lounge featured five of the East Coast’s most dynamic drag performers:

• Jolina Jasmine – When she’s not gracing stages in Florida and around the Big Apple, you can find Jolina Jasmine at some of the hottest parties in Atlantic City. The two-time Miss Paradise is an Ocean Casino Resort favorite, and she returned to Nola’s Bar and Lounge stage for an electrifying performance. 

• Crystal Envy – Makeup artist to the Garden State’s biggest stars and 2022 Miss Paradise, Crystal Envy lit up the stage at Nola’s Bar and Lounge in March, celebrating her first performance after a year spent representing the Ashbury Park LGBTQ Institution. Her return to Ocean Casino Resort was sure to be the first of many.

• Tatiyanna Voche’ – Basking in the sparkles of her recent Miss Gay America crown, Tatiyanna Voche’ made a grand entrance at Ocean Casino Resort’s March drag showcase with a mission: to show off the jaw-dropping talent that earned her the country’s most prestigious pageant title.

• Morgan Wells – Ocean Casino Resort hosted true Atlantic City royal Morgan Wells for a performance dripping with glamor and classic showgirl vibes. Her Morgan Wells Drag Closet brand has taken the world by storm, and we were thrilled to bask in the presence of one of the Boardwalk’s most famed performers.

• Brittany Lynn – Taking a break from her show-stopping performances in Philadelphia, Brittany Lynn served as hostess extraordinaire at our march drag showcase. The legend jetted back home after the show just in time to celebrate the best day of the year in the City of Brotherly Love—Brittany Lynn Day on March 15th, of course!

The March drag showcase was a smashing success—one that audience members won’t forget anytime soon. 

Pop Diva Energy at Nola’s Bar and Lounge

Our March drag showcase was just a teaser for our June Pride bash at Nola’s Bar and Lounge. ICYMI, let’s run the sparkling, high-energy highlight reel.

A Star-Studded Roster

To call our Pride drag show an earth-shattering extravaganza would be an understatement. Along with returning beloved performer Jolina Jasmine, our roster featured some of the biggest names in drag:

• Pattaya Hart – 2021 Miss Gay America and 2022 Miss Chicago Continental Pattaya Hart served unmatched dance talent and enrapturing entertainment on stage at Nola’s Bar and Lounge.

• Kimmy Sumony – New York and New Jersey favorite Kimmy Summony contributed more than her fair share of sparkle and flair to our energetic lineup.

• Stefani Steel – Tri-State diva Stefani Steel brought down the house with her signature splits.

These killer queens shared the stage with Paradise resident DJ Carl Michaels and up-and-coming pop sensation Roman—the voice behind the chart-topping “Price to Pay.” 

Carousing for a Cause

Ocean Casino Resort is proud to be one of the biggest allies to the LGBTQ community in New Jersey. Proceeds from our June Pride celebration supported two impactful nonprofit organizations in the Garden State community:

1. Garden State Equality – New Jersey’s largest LGBTQ advocacy organization, Garden State Equality provides top-quality educational support and participates in legislative action to lift up and protect our state’s queer voices. 

2. AtlantiCare’s LGBTQ+ Health Center – Already an established industry leader in equitable healthcare, AtlantiCare’s LGBTQ+ Health Center provides a hub of safe and inclusive primary care that meets the Atlantic City community’s unique needs.

Our Pride celebration was so much more than a loud, proud bash—it was also an opportunity to support one of our city’s most important communities.
