New Jersey Monthly Names Makai One of The "Best New Restaurants of 2021"

On the heels of Ocean Casino Resort's gaming floor receiving multiple awards (courtesy of  Strictly Slots) including being named "Best of the Best Places to Play Slots in Atlantic City, our Hawaiian-themed restaurant Makai has now been named as one of the "Best New Restaurants in the Garden State" (courtesy of New Jersey Monthly). One of Ocean Casino Resort's newest dining options, receiving these accolades from New Jersey's largest magazine publications showcases exactly what makes both the offerings and ambiance at Makai so unique and one of a kind. From the seemingly endless Atlantic Ocean views to the unique & eclectic menu offerings like Maitake Mushroom Toast for breakfast, the one of a kind Hula Burger for lunch, or the Huli Huli Half Chicken for dinner. Cocktails are always a must at Makai, with the Passion Fruit Margarita or the Hawaiian Sunrise both being dynamic offerings to try. Warren Richards, Ocean’s senior vice president of food and beverage, says attending a wedding in Maui in May inspired him to craft the theme, telling New Jersey Monthly “A lot of places were going the Key West route, and I thought, Why not do the other ocean?”
