Collective Soul
103.7 WMGM presents Collective Soul at Ovation Hall on Saturday, August 29.
Collective Soul burst onto the national stage in 1993 with their debut album Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid, propelled by the breakout hit “Shine,” which rocketed the band from college radio to heavy MTV rotation. Led by singer-songwriter Ed Roland, the band quickly became one of the defining rock acts of the mid-’90s—touring with Aerosmith and Van Halen and delivering a standout performance at Woodstock ’94.
Their triple-platinum self-titled follow-up, Collective Soul (1995), produced three No. 1 hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart: “December,” “The World I Know,” and “Where the River Flows.” Over the decades, the band has continued to build an enduring legacy, highlighted by a duet with Elton John (“Perfect Day”), ten additional studio albums, and their latest release, the double LP Here to Eternity (2024).
