Ocean Joins Forces With The Salvation Army In Atlantic City

A longstanding advocate and supporter for those in need in Atlantic City, The Salvation Army continues to give back to the greater Atlantic County community. Recognizing the impact the organization has on Atlantic City, Ocean is teaming up with The Salvation Army in a number of ways.

On Tuesday February 22nd, Ocean team members volunteered their time at The Salvation Army in Atlantic City. Our team members served lunch in the soup kitchen to 100 of The Salvation Army’s clients. Our expert culinary team provided a hearty and delicious soup and stacked sandwiches for the clients.

Additionally, Ocean Casino Resort donated $2,500 directly to The Salvation Army to support their after-school program; a crucial program that remains in-need in our surrounding community. Every weekday, The Salvation Army serves the youth in grades K-8 in the Atlantic City area. For these children, a typical day starts off with the students arriving, being warmly greeted, and being served a hot meal. This is followed up with assistance on homework, as well as tutoring and then a structured learning activity. The day is wrapped up with an unstructured art, physical or a learning activity.
