Ocean Casino Resort Continues To Go Green For Earth Day 2021 Return to BlogPublished: April 2021 Started in 1970, Earth Day’s mission as "a day of action to change human behavior and create global national and local policy changes” remains as crucial as it was over fifty years ago. It is with that mission in mind that Ocean Casino Resort celebrates the original Earth Day green initiatives. Ocean recently entered into their own partnership with Coastal Farms for the sole purpose of food waste recycling. This continues the properties larger mission to reduce food waste that is sent to the landfills which in turn, reduces methane and other greenhouse emissions. Ocean also works directly with Clean Earth to both remove and recycle all used lightbulbs and televisions property-wide. Additionally, Ocean is working to transform our property from using CFL lightbulbs to LED lightbulbs, which offer longer life usage. Ocean is also now using automatic-flush valves in all restrooms property-wide, which cuts down on water usage significantly.
