Ocean Casino Resort has always been known for stunning views of the both the historic Atlantic City boardwalk and the glistening Atlantic Ocean. Now, Ocean is about to transport you to all the way to Hawaii; courtesy of our brand new Hawaiian-inspired restaurant, Makai.

Makai (which translates to “by the sea”) is going to be offering both signature and eclectic breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes that will seemingly transport you to the Hawaiian islands. The Hula Burger is destined to be a classic all on its own, with grilled fresh pineapple, teriyaki glaze, and bacon on a King’s Hawaiian roll. Fish Tacos are going to be taken to a whole new level with fresh cilantro, shaved napa cabbage, and lime cream. The Huli Huli Half Chicken with roasted sweet potatoes and fresh grilled pineapple or the Togarashi Crusted Salmon with fresh tropical fruit salsa and mango butter sauce are must haves.

While lunch and dinner have interchangeable options, breakfast is truly a one of a kind experience at Makai. You can go traditional with an omelette, or dive into a specialty dish like the Kalua Pork & Eggs served with potato hash and crispy onions. The Cinnamon Swirl French Toast with creamy butter, maple syrup and fresh tropical fruit compote are a decadent option, and the Maitake Mushroom Toast with perfectly poached eggs and truffle hollandaise is a one of a kind treat that you simply won’t find anywhere else.

Ocean’s restaurant options are known for their variety of decadent dessert options, and Makai is absolutely no exception. Day or night, you can stop into Makai for their in-house made Pineapple Upside Down Cake, complete with fluffy vanilla bean sponge, sinful carmelized pineapple, vibrant cherry, and coconut ice cream. The Rainbow Hawaiian Shaved Ice is bound to be a house favorite, complete with a trifecta of blueberry, lemon and cherry flavors.

Cocktail-wise Makai also has a full menu of both classics and new cocktails bound to become instant favorites. Both draft and bottle beers are available, as are select wines. Makai will also be offering tropical cocktails such as the Mak’tai (dark rum, orange liqueur and orgeat - a sweet syrup consisting of almonds, sugar & rose water).

The Passion Fruit Margarita with blanco tequila, orange liqueur, agave and passion fruit purees is sure to be an instant classic. The 7 Island Martini with vodka, lychee liqueur and fresh lime and the shareable Hawaiian Sunrise packed with coconut rum, lime, pineapple juice, mango, passion fruit, and guava purees offers the potency and distinctiveness that Makai's cocktails are bound to offer.
