Ocean Casino Resort Shows Their Support For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Ocean Casino Resort continues on its mission of giving back. This year, Ocean proudly sponsored the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk along the Ocean City Boardwalk on October 10.  This year also marked a return to the boardwalk for a COVID-safe, in-person walk, including a rolling start time. Ocean had a strong team of walkers on the boardwalk and volunteers at both the registration desk and at the water station.  Over 2,000 people - many of which were breast cancer survivors–attended Making Strides and completed the 5k walk along the boardwalk, with the event raising an astounding $250,000o.

In conjunction with Making Strides, Bill Callahan, Executive Vice President of Gaming & Hospitality for Ocean Casino Resort is participating in the Real Men Wear Pink Campaign. Throughout the month of October, this campaign raises both awareness and money for the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives.  Every dollar raised works to help the the American Cancer society save lives from breast cancer through innovations like early detection and prevention, innovative and groundbreaking breast cancer research and patient support.

Keeping the Real Men Wear Pink initiative truly in the family, Ocean has a hand picked cocktail that is available throughout October called "Pink for a Cure Cocktail". Ocean will feature Tito’s Pink Cosmo (Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Cointreau, cranberry juice, lime, with a pink sugar rim) at  locations including 1927 Lounge, Blush Bar & Lounge, Topgolf Swing Suite, and The Sportsbook at Ocean by William Hill. You’ll also be enjoying this libation and giving back, as 25% of the proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

As the tallest hotel in New Jersey and the most recognizable one on the Atlantic City skyline, Ocean has found a unique way to show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The famed ball at the top of Ocean Casino Resort will be showcased in a warm hue of pink throughout the full month of October, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
